ALABAMA GULF COAST ZOO WELCOMES NEW GUINEA SINGING DOGS

The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo is absolutely delighted to announce the arrival of two of the cutest and most endearing New Guinea singing dogs you’ll ever lay eyes on – Yugi and Jacoby!

These affectionate 8-year-old pups have captured the hearts of our expert keepers since their arrival in March, and we can’t wait for you to come and meet them.

While Yugi has already shown a love for food and exploration, Jacoby’s gentle and sweet nature has made him a firm favorite with our staff. As part of a breed that is extremely rare and precious, with only 200-300 of their kind remaining in the world, Yugi and Jacoby are a true treasure to behold.

With their stunning singing voices and innate love for enrichment, they are sure to keep you entertained during your visit to the Big Cat area of the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo. Make sure to stop by between 9 am and 4 pm every day to learn more about their fascinating lives and unique talents.

What a great zoo! We were very pleased with everything about it. It’s clean, there’s plenty of restrooms, they let you bring in your lunch or you can stop and pick up something from a pretty good variety of snacks and sandwiches from machines or go to a cafe. My daughter liked the carousel as well! Note that the carousel and the experiences are extra costs so read up on those before you visit. 👍

We enjoyed our visit to the Zoo. The wife and I visit Foley Alabama three times a year. This was our first time visiting the zoo there. There wasn’t a line to get inside, and had a great experience. Can’t wait to visit again.😊

We loved our visit! Such an affordable option for a zoo. Plenty of animals to see. Loved how close you get to all of them. Very clean and tidy. Disappointed the tigers weren’t out though. But overall a fantastic experience! Our kids loved it.

Such a beautiful zoo! Very clean with ample restrooms and benches. There were so many animals to see which was very unexpected. We saw tigers, lyons, monkeys, giraffes, lemurs, many types of local birds, etc. For an extra fee, you can feed the giraffes and have an opportunity to get up close and personal with several different zoo animals.

There is a great little enclosed bird area with turtles where you can sit and watch the birds. They also have a great gift shop with wonderful gift items.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience. We had a great time watching the animals and will definitely be back!

Very nice small zoo. They offered feeding a giraffe for $5 during a certain time window…very worth it! It is a beautiful zoo, a nice layout also with a petting zoo of farm animals for small kids. They have a merry-go-round. You can take a small motorized car ride to see a few animals. Enjoyed the day at the zoo. Employees work hard and are very knowledgeable.
